About the role:

Clayton’s Towing is seeking a motivated and reliable Trade Assistant to join our busy workshop team on the Sunshine Coast.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organised workplace, and enjoys being part of a supportive team. You will work closely with our mechanics and workshop staff, assisting with the maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet of towing and transport equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting mechanics and tradespeople with servicing, repairs and maintenance
• Preparing vehicles, equipment, tools and parts for workshop activities
• General workshop housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
• Cleaning, detailing and presenting vehicles and equipment
• Conducting basic mechanical tasks under supervision
• Picking up and delivering parts as required
• Assisting with stock control and workshop organisation
• Supporting breakdown and fleet maintenance activities as directed
• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Labourer or in a workshop environment
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
• A current and unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence
• Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential)
• HR Licence (desirable but not essential)
• Ability to undertake manual handling and physical tasks

Most importantly, you are dependable, proactive and willing to roll up your sleeves to help wherever needed.
