Area Manager - Rockhampton
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity that has become available to join our team as a Rockhampton-based Area Manager, managing a fleet of tow trucks, depots and Driver Operators.
This role will include accountability for a wide range of tasks including:
- Manage a team of Driver Operators
- Complaint/incident handling and resolution to implement corrective and preventative actions
- Manage rostering
- Maintain and facilitate continuous improvement in all aspects of the companies HSE management systems and standards
- Working with our Driver Trainers and other subject matter experts to ensure effectiveness of risk controls within our operations
- Manage multiple depots in the Rockhampton area
- Monitor and provide effective communication with staff
- Facilitate recruitment of Driver Operators
- Creating and maintaining positive relationships with key clients

Clayton’s Towing Service has been operating since 1970. The business began when Bill and Mary Clayton hand built their first tow truck. Fast forward 54 years and Clayton’s has grown to be one of Australia’s largest towing companies with 15 depots in major cities across Queensland and towing services operating across the state.
Clayton’s has a large team of over 175 people, spread across Queensland, some of whom have been working with the business for more than 30 years.
