Roadside Assist Patrolman - Sunshine Coast

About the role:

Are you looking for an exciting, fast-paced role with the opportunity to make a real difference in people’s day? Clayton’s is currently seeking a dedicated Roadside Assistance Patrolman to join our team and help provide top-tier service to our customers across the state.

The driver will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and adhere to all safety regulations with the assistance of our in-vehicle systems.

No experience with as a Roadside Assistant Patrolman? No problem! At Clayton’s, we offer full training at our Nambour training facility with our experienced trainers, so you’ll gain the theoretical and practical skills to thrive in this new career. All we ask of you is the willingness to learn!

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Provide assistance for vehicle breakdowns on the side of the road

  • Replace flat batteries and offer 24-hour roadside battery sales

  • Perform tyre changes for flat tyres

  • Respond to lockout situations and provide key rescue services

  • Operate fully equipped response units for emergency assistance

  • Deliver 24/7 roadside support to customers in need

  • Ensure prompt and professional service to get customers back on the road quickly

  • Work with experienced operators in specialized support units

About you:

Our operators play a vital role in helping individuals during their time of need, ensuring a reliable and safe experience – where no two days are the same. To be successful for this role the following skills and qualifications are required:

  • Valid C-Class driver’s license

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently

  • Professional appearance with excellent customer service skills

  • Sound judgment and the ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner

  • Capable of adhering to company standards and procedures

  • Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role

  • Willingness to work a varied roster including, days, on-call nights, and weekends
