Bookkeeper - Sunshine Coast

We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented internal Bookkeeping & Payroll Support to take ownership of key bookkeeping functions across the business.  This role is responsible for customer billing, accounts receivable processing, receipting, account reconciliation, and contributing to payroll support.  You’ll also assist with administrative tasks as part of a close-knit team working to maintain smooth financial operations.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Generating and issuing customer invoices in line with approved billing data

• Accurately receipting and allocating payments received via EFT, credit card, and cash

• Perform regular account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items

• Process and verifying daily timesheets for payroll input

• Assisting with fortnightly payroll processing and providing coverage during leave

• Responding to payment, invoicing, and payroll queries in a timely and professional manner

• Maintaining accurate customer records and update systems as required

• Assisting with general ledger entries and end of period processes

• Provide administrative support including document handling and internal communications

• Supporting the broader accounts and admin team with ad hoc tasks as directed

 

About You:

To be a successful applicant for this role you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounts receivable, or a similar accounting-based role

  • Strong understanding of receipting, invoicing, and reconciliation processes

  • Basic payroll processing experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Proficiency with accounting software and intermediate Excel skills

  • A proactive, team-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Commitment to confidentiality and sound recordkeeping practices

Desirable

  • Experience in the transport, towing or logistics industry

  • Exposure to Netsuite, Tow Manager or similar accounting/payroll platforms
