Rockhampton Road Train Roll-Over Recovery
Rockhampton-B-Double-Roll-over

When a fully loaded road train rolled over approximately 450km west of Rockhampton near Alpha, Queensland carrying several military vehicles, Clayton’s Towing was on the job. Our Rockhampton depot dispatched a three-person crew alongside two heavy tow units, Unit 613 and Unit 600, to manage the recovery.

The incident site was more than four hours from our depot, but distance is never a barrier for our team. Operating in remote Central Queensland terrain, our experienced operators successfully righted the road train and towed the entire unit, still fully loaded, back to Rockhampton.

Recovering a loaded road train hundreds of kilometres from the nearest depot requires more than just the right equipment – it takes skill, experience, and a crew that performs under pressure. That’s exactly what Clayton’s Rockhampton team delivered.

This job is a strong example of the complex heavy towing and recovery work our team handles across regional and remote Queensland every day. Whether it’s a roll-over on an outback highway or a breakdown on a major freight route, Clayton’s has the fleet and the expertise to get the job done.

If you ask the boys they will tell you “just another day, another job”. Best job in the world and they’re very good at it.
